I love exploring life through the lens of HCI. These are some fun explorations I have conducted along the way!
I imagined a dystopian future around the Metaverse where physical reality is not a life we live anymore. Instead, we truly live in our digital lives. This future explores clothes as a medium of interaction between the physical and digital worlds. Interestingly, this design from 2021 for the ‘eye-portals’ that allow people to visit their digital lives, has a similar googly-eye design design as Apple Vision Pro!
Did I predict Apple Vision Pro?
“I want to turn my brain off”
I explored human relationships with AI through Design Fiction using a future scenario where AI uses decision-making to control the functioning of the human brain according to the user’s context and needs. This way, I critically examined the control of AI on humans and the true meaning of user freedom with AI penetration in our lives.
AI: Say no more!
Ever looked for new ways of musical collaboration?
I ideated a new way of music collaboration where music is a medium of experiencing culture- it is used as a representation of emotions. People can dedicate music to landmarks using AR markers, that passersby can later hear as a way of understanding others’ feelings at that moment. These passersby can then add their composition to it and continue the long ‘stream’ of emotional and musical collaboration.
How to understand privacy policies without reading extensive documentation?
This game (try it!), WhatsApp-A-Mole, is meant for users of all age groups and aims to raise awareness about the WhatsApp privacy policy among players. It was designed and prototyped when the change in WhatsApp’s privacy policy brought a lot of concerns among its users during the pandemic. The game appeals to all generations with its quirky visual style, gamification elements, and nostalgic arcade design based on Whack-A-mole!
